Pippin the Wonder Dog...

Many are wondering how the pooch is doing. I know the last post left many questions. While I am in no position to answer all the questions with out all the answers I will tell you he is starting to pick up...

He was hit pretty hard, his head took a major blow but seems to be doing much better. The major issues are still there though. Right now, his lungs are healing and the contusions should hopefully be better in another day or two. At that time he will be put under. They need to take all of his lower teeth out. Not all, but all the ones that lay between his lower K9's. They need to Xray his hind quarters because he can still not bear any weight on his rear right leg and from there we will see. Honestly, now that his lungs are slowly doing better the leg is the main concern. Fractured hip? Something else? We don't know. And I must say that I am concerned in soooo many ways. Obviously he is part of the family. He's a child with 4 legs. Many of you can understand that I'm sure. And while it will all get figured out I would be telling a lie if I said the financial aspect isn't hurting as well.

You look at this economy and the "bailout" and all I think is damn, would someone come bail me out of this one....

Sigh... All I can do is be thankful that he is still here. I can be thankful that so many people out there are pulling for him... And be thankful that he is a strong strong soul keeping his furry bruised chin held high.....

Thank you all for your thoughts!

Please Help...

If you could please, please just pray for Pippin. Think all the happy healthy thoughts you can. Please...

He was struck by a vehicle this evening and I will do anything to have him just pull through this.

Please keep him in your thoughts.

Heeee'sssssss baaaaaaaaaaaaaackkkk....

So as some might know I find great peace and joy on my bike. In the woods, on the road. Where ever my legs pedal me I go and I enjoy... And if you didn't know, you do now.
Here's the new though, and no, I didn't have another bad accident. :o)
But Mr. Lance Armstong, yes, Lance Armstrong, you know, won 7 Tour De France Races in a row! Then decided it was time to retire... Yea, well as so many have found out, retirement is boring and he's back...
Racing under a new team with some old team mates and the same team manager that brought those 7 titles his way. Full article is below. As well as a picture, that well... I'm not going there.

Good things come to the right people...

Good things happen to everyone! That's all there is to it. Hearing about good things happening to good people shoots so much light into my day. From having a book published, a CD released to a new job coming down the pike that will let you be who you are, live a new way, and let you create what you so long to create.

It's really quite simple, good things happen to good people.

Continue to attack life... One roar at a time...

those damn cake toppers!!!

Yes, those damn cake toppers! Quite honestly, some people like 'em, others don't. Really it's like licorice, you either love it or hate it!
I think cake toppers may be in the same boat. However I also need to say that going to wedding after wedding, which I love to do, it's nice to see personal touches. From the words in the ceremony to the cake, personal touches make it all your own. And what I've found is that one of the most wonderful is obviously the cake! From unique styles that may be strewn with twigs, to the most elegant with intricate designs and layered ribbons... To... well... The cake toppers...
Sure, I could show picture upon picture of cakes. Really, if you want to see those just go to my photography site and look into the gallery area, here I just had to throw down some of my favorite toppers. Why??? Quite honestly because they make me chuckle... Come on, you can't tell me some of them aren't funny. Possibly a tad serious, but funny all the same....

It's good to be....

Tuesday, September 9, 2008

So there are days when, well, you just don't want to get out of bed. We all have them right? Today was surely one of them. But alas, the time comes when you have to roll over and get a move on. A rough mood in the air that with in minutes can turn so fowl!

The morning progresses and you search for something to life you up. So I did, I thought about things like Jim Thorpe Pa., thought about my town, a town known to many as a "drinking town with an art problem".... And then I found music. MUSIC!

Brought my thoughts back to a G. Love and Special Sauce show that I shot and there for, a hunt for some G. Love was on. Finally, with my thoughts from the above and some tunes coming through the speakers a new light came to my day. I won't say that I'm a pleasant soul to be around right now but the mellow mood has surely got me....

Which is much better than the alternative!
