We're halfway through the year and I feel like things continue to just get better and better! And below is just another one of those reasons. Another wedding that simply rocked!
One of the cutest churches I have EVERRRRR seen, a beautiful day, a great wedding party! So much fun!
Of course there were the cookies that said "Eat Me" on them. Could be taken many ways, and at first glance make you crack up a little. But keeping in mind that the day had an alice in wonderland theme rockin' out made them all good!
The guys were a riot, the girls awesome and the guests from all over the world!!! SO GREAT!!!
However instead of adding word upon word to the post, this evening I'm going to let the pictures do the talking!!!

There will always be weddings that just have a certain "thing"... I can't say as if I know exactly what it is. But a "thing" it is none the less. And a certain day down in Jamaica was surely one of those weddings. The family just had this energy that consisted of pure love... You could see it through the entire day.
Really, you could see it through the entire week. Everyone just having a great time together, smiles, laughs, tears...
The day, the day was HOT HOT HOT, but it held no one back. Nor did it hold any tears back. Tears of joy. Tears of love...
And this weddings was one of the reasons that I feel extremely lucky that I am able to do what I do. The ability to hold such an integral part of a families day. The ability to capture the moments and show them in a way the evokes all the memories of the day for years to come...
At times, I lose track of what I do, I believe we all can at times...
And then there's something so simple that reminds me of just how important it is.
How important those moments are to each individual and family as a whole. Jamaica or not, sunshine or rain... I simple love what I do and feel so lucky to have clients that understand that... And really, what does it for me is the simple kind words that come my way and are never taken for granted. And below, below are those words coming from this great couple. And it's those words that I can not thank Kelly enough for.
And really, it shows exactly how much kindness and how much love / zest for life that Kelly was raised with coming from her entire family... And for that, I not only thank her, but thank them all!!!
YOU GUYS ROCK!
(friends included!!! You know who you are! L-L&L and more!)
"Tim....we received our pictures yesterday (as I'm sure you can tell from my profile lol!). I knew they would be good, but I wasn't expecting what I found when we played the DVD. I never knew that your pictures could tell the story of our wedding day. We laughed, cried, and were beaming through the entire slideshow. Each and every picture you took was breath taking. I am so thankful you were able to make the trip to Jamaica and photograph our moments. I couldn't have asked for anything more.
I should also add that my family and friends have not stopped talking about you since we got back. Everyone was so impressed with your professionalism and laid back style. Our bridal party had so much fun taking pictures they were sad when it was over!!
I can do a commercial for you. PLEASE feel free to hand out my information to potential customers. I will definitely give you a rave review. You are now my photographer for life whether you like it or not!!!
Thanks again...you were the best decision we made with our wedding (besides marrying each other of course!). xo!"
Love isn't always the most graceful of things. Sometimes it has it's ups and it has it's downs... But one thing is for sure, love is simple....
The below words are from a toast where the maid of honor had her students (elementary kids) answer a simple but not so simple question for her... The question? "Love is __________" ( I think I need to make that a facebook status update?)
********************************************
Love Is Simple
Love is fun
Love is hugs
Love is when you kiss all the time
Love is sharing a hotdog and cheese fries
Love Is Simple
Love is patience
Love is listening
Love is saying you’re sorry
Love is wearing deodorant on a date
Love Is Simple
Love is kindness
Love is friendship
Love is not about stuff, but maybe giving her the credit card once in awhile to buy new shoes.
As many of you know, I'm a cyclist, for many years it consumed much of my life... And while it no longer consumes as much, it's still a part of me. And some of you may also know that Le Tour De France started this past weekend. Not everyone can endure watching a bike race on the TV. No problem, I understand, until you've ridden in a pack of 100 guys going 45 mph, it's tough to understand. That's not what this post is about though. Instead, it's about something that can so easily be learned by watching the tour.
For a couple thousand miles, many days and many pain staking moments, "the Tour" is life for this group of almost 200.... Life...
And for us, while we may not be riding thousands of miles over the next 4 weeks or so, we are still living life. The same life that all of these cyclists are living. "So where am I going with this?" you wonder. Some place that is quite easy to understand.
As I watch the race unfold, you can see the pain, the agony that these cyclists endure. Known as the toughest sporting event in the world. Can you imagine the pain of riding 100 miles, with 25 miles to go and a climb that some wouldn't be able to walk up, let alone ride, let alone even more, ride with 100 miles already behind you and to go one step further, ride, with 100 mile behind you today and the many hundred more you've covered in all the previous days??? Imagine what must be going through their minds right?
Now here's the part that we all need to look at.
These guys are living their normal lives. Cycling is what their lives are. You're 70 miles into a 120 mile stage, going 30 miles per hour with 150+ other cyclists around you and you crash. You hit the pavement, sliding along the rough surface tearing up any piece of your body that hits it. Doesn't sound pleasant does it...
Now turn it into your life, your day to day... You're cruising along through a beautiful day. Then, when you least expect it your day takes a turn for the worse, you want to climb under your desk and hide. You just want to make it all go away. But you know what, we can't do that. Or let me rephrase that. We could do that, but what in the world is that going to do for your life???
Instead, we need to do the best thing possible, each and every one of us needs to do what that cyclist who just crashed would do. We need to put the pain aside, the frustration behind us and do our best to let go of what ever just tried to pull us down. We need to pick our selves up, dust our selves off and start all over again...
Why? Because much like that group of cyclists generally isn't going to wait for that rider who just crashed, life isn't going to wait for us.
We need to just know that there will be better moments, brighter days and happier times if we can just power through the rest of today...
(I know these crashes happened at the end of stage 1, but they all need to get back on to finish the day as well as the rest of the tour)
